About this product

The Unitree R1 EDU is a compact research humanoid built for scientific research, education, and competitive robotics. It carries forward the full R1 platform — a 1230 x 357 x 190 mm standing frame weighing about 29 kg with battery — while adding a built-in compute dock for true secondary development, with head articulation (2 DOF) from the U2 Smart configuration upward. Configurations range from the U1 Standard (24 DOF, 40 TOPS dock) through the U2 Smart and professional U3-U6 variants (26 DOF, 100 TOPS dock, optional Dex3-1 or BrainCo Revo 2 dexterous hands).

Engineered as a development-first platform, the R1 EDU supports both high- and low-level programming, ships with robot models and simulation interfaces, and integrates with environments such as NVIDIA Isaac Sim. Each arm handles a 2 kg load, perception runs on a humanoid binocular camera, and the system includes AI algorithm support, comprehensive development manuals, and ecosystem resources. The preferred choice for RoboCup, ICCV25, and IROS25 events, it deploys cleanly into university labs, research institutions, and competitive robotics teams under a 12-month full-unit warranty.
