Synoptic AG, c/o Joshua Larsch, Limmatstrasse 118, 8005 Zürich, Switzerland, is the controller responsible for the processing of personal data on this website.

Account data: name, email address and any details you provide when creating an account.

Order and inquiry data: products requested or purchased, billing/shipping details, and the content of quote requests.

Contact-form data: the name, email, company and message you submit.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, device and access logs generated automatically when you visit the site.

Cookies: strictly necessary cookies and — only with your consent — Google measurement cookies (see below).

We process personal data to: operate the shop and your account; process orders and quote requests; respond to inquiries; operate, secure and improve the website; and comply with legal obligations.

Legal bases are, as applicable: performance of a contract, our legitimate interests, your consent, and compliance with legal obligations.

We use carefully selected providers who process data on our behalf under data-processing agreements:

Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany; Nuremberg data centre) — server hosting for the shop back end and the order database.

Vercel Inc. (USA) — website hosting and content delivery.

Resend (USA) — email delivery, including order confirmations.

Supabase Inc. (USA; data hosted in the EU) — database hosting for inquiries submitted through this site, storage for product images, and encrypted backups of the order database.

bexio AG (Switzerland) — accounting; customer and invoice data for orders placed through this site.

HubSpot, Inc. (USA) — customer relationship management.

Google (Google Ireland Ltd., Ireland / Google LLC, USA) — Google Analytics 4 web analytics, Google Ads conversion measurement, and Google Maps Platform (Places) for the address suggestions in the checkout and the address book. Analytics and advertising cookies and identifiers are used only with your consent; without it Google receives at most cookieless, aggregated signals under Google Consent Mode. The address autocomplete is separate: it loads only once you place the cursor in the address field, and from that moment what you type there is sent to Google in order to return suggestions. If you do not use it, no address data reaches Google — you can always type the address out in full instead.

Payment service providers — none. Orders are invoiced and settled by bank transfer; no card or TWINT data is collected or processed through this site.

We do not sell your personal data.

Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working: a session cookie, the shopping-cart identifier, your language preference (locale) and the cookie that stores your cookie choice. These do not track you across other sites.

With your consent, we additionally use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads measurement cookies to understand how the shop is used and to measure our advertising campaigns. These are set only after you accept them in the cookie banner; if you decline, no analytics or marketing cookies are set (Google receives at most cookieless, aggregated signals under Google Consent Mode).

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" in the page footer.

Some of our providers are located outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA (for example in the USA). Where data is transferred abroad, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent mechanisms recognised under Swiss law.

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law — for example, accounting records are retained for ten years under Swiss commercial law (Art. 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations).

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict the processing of your data, to object to processing, and to data portability.
