The Unitree As2 is landing in Switzerland — preorders now open

Preorders are open: the Unitree As2 — Unitree's new compact industrial quadruped — is arriving in Switzerland. As the official Swiss partner of Unitree, we have secured a first allocation, with the first units expected in summer 2026. The As2 Edu Smart (U2) configuration is available to preorder now at CHF 17'000.

What the As2 is

The As2 is Unitree's robust evolution of the Go2 platform: roughly twice the power performance in an ~18 kg, 12-degree-of-freedom body that sits between the Go2 and the larger A2 in Unitree's lineup. Where the Go2 established itself as the go-to research quadruped, the As2 is built for real industrial work — more torque, more payload, more runtime, and industrial-grade perception out of the box.

The configuration we ship: Edu Smart (U2)

Our preorder unit is the Edu Smart (U2) configuration:

• 100 TOPS NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX compute dock for onboard AI, alongside an 8-core platform CPU
• Industrial ultra-wide-angle LiDAR + depth camera for obstacle avoidance and mapping
• ~15 kg walking payload (≈65 kg static) — enough for serious sensor rigs and tooling
• 0–3.7 m/s operating speed (peaks around 5 m/s), ~25 cm stairs, 40° slopes
• ~4 hours / 20 km per charge from the 15000 mAh extended-range battery; platform operating range −20 °C to 50 °C
• GPS, 4G and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, ISS 3.0 intelligent follow, smart OTA updates
• Full secondary-development support — robot models and Isaac Sim integration for simulation-first workflows

Who it's for

The As2 fills the gap between the research-friendly Go2 and heavy industrial platforms like the B2: inspection routes in industrial facilities, internal logistics, construction-site monitoring, and field-robotics research that needs more payload and runtime than the Go2 offers. For research groups it inherits the maturity of Unitree's ecosystem — SDKs, simulation models and an active developer community — with far more physical headroom.
